Hi and welcome to my page!
I’m Jenny, the big guy is my handsome husband Jimmy and that little bean is our baby girl Sophia. Jimmy is a firefighter and I’m a pediatric ER nurse. We’ve been together since 2012. Though we are opposites in many ways a few things we can agree on: our love of travel, food and the little things in life.
Jimmy is an old soul and I just like to think I’m wise beyond my years, but truthfully I’m just very thankful we already figured out that you need to live your life to the fullest, carry very few regrets and speak your mind openly. We both have wonderful families and a life filled with love, but just like everyone else we’ve had our bumps and bruises along the way. We’ve chosen (sometimes with a lot of effort) to see the positive in life and that practice has resulted in so many fun adventures and a new appreciation for each day.
I started this blog as a way to release some of the creative energy I’ve built up. I’m always doing some sort of DIY construction project on the house, Jimmy is a mad scientist in the kitchen, and the two of us could talk about travel and budgeting until your ears fall off. This seemed like the perfect way to combine anything and everything I’ve been passionate about.
We’re going to drag you along on our adventures, finally put recipes to Chef Jimmy’s crazy gourmet creations, attempt to give you instructions on my DIY projects, and talk budget openly and freely. The success of this blog will be based solely on how much fun I have doing it and if my husband and family find it interesting enough to read – their attention spans are oh so short. Oh, and when this little pumpkin is old enough she’ll be able to see the love that surrounded her growing up.
We are parents, foodies, travel lovers, crafters, fitness junkies (or flunkies at times). We are jacks of all trades and masters of none. We are us and we are Living Life and Loving Us.
